Goa Glitch Gone

According to Wikipedia the definition of glitch goes as follows:

glitch is a short-lived fault in a system. It is often used to describe a transient fault that corrects itself, and is therefore difficult to troubleshoot.

I would like to add, that not only is it hard to troubleshoot, it is hard to control as a form of creative expression. A Glitch is a digital coincidence that in this particular case, created an interesting, yet short-lived result, which I luckily managed to export as a jpeg.

Time, Vinegar and Film

Sometime in the end of 2012 I put a piece of 16mm film into a jar filled with water vinegar and some salt. I left it in the editing room and then brought it to my own place where it was gaining dust for a while. I took it out of the jar sometime in the winter of 2013 and this is how it looks like now.
I recently found it gaining more dust and decided to scan a bit of it.

The Making of 14 Diaries/ 14 Tagebücher

So this is what I was doing since shortly before Christmas and into the New Year. A making of a great documentary which uses the intimate diaries of various protagonists who lived through the hardships of the first world war (WWI).
The making of was made thanks to the initiative of producer Gunnar Dedio and his Looks.Tv crew in Leipzig and I was lucky enough to have Jan Peter the Director explain more about the work he had with this great piece of film.  I´m quite happy it's online! But sadly, given that it is a German-French coproduction no english subtitles have been made. Merci und Danke!
